        Meet Your Course Instructor

All of the parenting courses we offer are taught by me, Karen Poitras. I am a therapeutic respite provider & parent coach, with a main focus on working with families and children with Reactive Attachment Disorder. I have been working with RAD since 2012 and have worked with 250+ kids and their families. I use information and approaches from Bruce Perry, Foster Cline, Gary Chapman, and Dr. Scott Sells, as well as techniques from the many therapists, coaches, and parenting specialists that I have worked under and with.

My approach to healing our kiddos from trauma is centred on family, connection, and brain healing. I work with the parents to provide them with tips, tools, and techniques to empower them to connect with their child to facilitate healing, recovery, and happiness.
